Captain Miriam Annabelle Sal (a.k.a. Anne Vixen)
Physical Description
Very fit and agile, mostly lean muscle. Thin but muscular, missing right foot, and has a peg leg in place. Often looks slightly battered after her time on land, and seems healthier when on her ship.
Anne is a slender person, made more of muscle than anything else. She has rather long arms and legs, but they seemed to fit her. From just below her knee and downward on her left leg, she has a slightly battered peg leg that replaced her real leg after it was amputated. Given the right circumstances, Anne could appear quite sophisticated and beautiful, but she prefers her normal, more raggedy state.
Anne has a long, thin nose that appears it's been broken at least once, as it was slightly crooked. Her eyes were large and almond-shaped, and almost always squinted as she spent much of her time in the sun, with long lashes that had salt crystals almost always clinging to them. They were dark brown, often bright with a mischievous glint often mistaken for malice. Her skin was covered in freckles and small blemishes. With full lips often pulled into a smirk, perpetually cracked and covered in flecks of salt, she was often considered attractive, told that she could any man she wanted if she just put a little bit of time into taking care of her appearance. Anne always laughed at those comments.
The biggest identifiers are the fox tattoo on her right shoulder, and the rope-burn scar just under her jaw. She also possesses an anchor tattoo on her mid-back, signifying her reaching the Borders, a nautical star tattoo on her hip, and a swallow tattoo under her left breast, both to help her return home safely. The swallow also signifies her sailing 5 thousand nautical miles, and acts as a good luck charm. She has a rose and dagger tattoo on her left thigh, symbolizing her fearlessness, and a tattoo of a pair of dice on her collarbone, marking her as a risk-taker.
Because of her peg leg, Anne will occasionally be seen limping, but often forces herself to not limp. She has several tattoos and three ear piercings, one on her left ear and two on her right. The left piercing is often a tooth she claims came from a legendary sea creature, but no one is quite sure what it actually is. The right piercings are a pair of small gold hoops that her father gifted her after her first successful raid.
Anne prides herself on her tricorne hat, which is rather impractical as it's often blown off or blocking her vision, but she insists on wearing it. Her clothes often consist of a white linen shirt that gets replaced every other week because of damage or blood stains, and a pair of dark blue striped pants. She had a golden yellow sash tied around her waist with a black belt with a silver buckle over it. When displaying her rank as captain, for a meeting, raid, or otherwise, she wears a blood-red leather overcoat with a matching red leather vest. She often, however, forgoes the coat and vest in favor of maneuverability and being somewhat discreet.
Her effects consist of a silver dagger with a golden hilt wrapped in a black leather grip and a pistol, along with a longsword with the same kind of hilt as her dagger. She often just carried the pistol, tucked into her sash, and her sheathed dagger attached to her belt.
Mental characteristics
After her older brother, Eddie, was presumed dead after his disappearance when Anne was 3, her father brought her onto his pirate ship, titled the Poisoned Poppy. Her father, Hector, was shot in the head and killed by an Igkei captain when Anne was 14, making her the captain of the ship. Unfortunately, the ship sank in the battle, and she had to make a deal with the God of Fate to resurrect it. When this happened, the sails were permanently stained blood-red, leading her to rename the ship to the Bloodless Rose. Since then, she has made it her personal mission to find the Wellerman's Treasure and find her brother's body.
Female and nonbinary [She/They]
Having grown up on a pirate ship, Anne learned the arts of swindling and swashbuckling. Her father taught her how to navigate a ship, his quartermaster teaching her how to rob people blind without them noticing. While able to read a map, she identifies landmasses by their shape rather than their name. She is illiterate and has no interest in books or writing, preferring to stick to her tried and true methods.
Anne started off as a powder monkey, running gunpowder from below-deck to the gunners. As she got older, she was sent into the crow's nest to be a lookout and help the riggers with unfurling the sails. When it was discovered during a raid that she was a deadly-accurate shot, she was assigned the role of a gunner, climbing the ranks and becoming the master gunner. Later on, after her father's death, she became Captain of the ship and has held that title since.
Anne's pride was in the defeat of the Wellerman's curse, shortly followed by her resurrection of the Poisoned Poppy, redubbed the Bloodless Rose. She was also very proud of her finding her missing brother who had been presumed dead, and her location of the Wellerman's treasure in the first place.
Anne’s biggest embarrament is when she allowed the Poppy to sink only hours after she had become captain, making her seem weak and incapable to her crew. In retaliation, she tracked down the leader of the crew that attacked her ship and mutilated them, scaring her crew into compliance.
She considered one of her biggest failures to be her brother's death, which she believed she had caused because she ratted her brother out to her father which led to him running away and getting killed.
Anne was often preyed upon as she got older and the men saw her more for her body than her spirit, which led to her becoming extremely distrustful and incredibly selective when it comes to her crew. Her father often berated and manipulated her, claiming he was "toughening her up" and showing her "tough love" which led to her being very cold and callous, often downright rude to people.
She also suffers from nightmares about her brother's and father's deaths and refuses to go near fire because her brother was allegedly set on fire before he died.
Anne is highly intelligent when it comes to piracy and sailing. She's good at making connections and spotting patterns, tending to solve problems in round-about ways to confuse her opponents. She knows the intricate details of how to operate a ship, even on her own, and passes her knowledge onto her crew by assigning them tasks they aren't skilled in to better their performances overall.
Anne has very shaky morals, being okay with killing and maiming people if necessary, but she always tries to find a solution that involves not spilling any blood. She is highly against human trafficking and slavery, going so far as to outright sabotage trafficking operations and free the hostages.
Her philosophy is "All things are cargo, but never people."
Anne has the mouth of a sailor and uses it. She ignores most cultural taboos unless they pertain to the Gods, but she refuses to leave any food on her plate unless she doesn't like the person, then she does it deliberately.
At the height of her empire, Anne's reign stretched across two of the thirteen seas, and she was a highly revered and infamous captain from the age of fourteen until her death at age fifty-one.

History
Perrie and Anne met after they robbed the young pirate of her sea bag. After a bit of mocking of her ship, they joined Anne on her quest to find the Wellerman's Treasure and the chaos that came with traveling alongside the captain. Perrie denied her attraction to Anne until a festival attended for information, where she dressed up as a member of high society, and Perrie could no longer dispute how attractive they found the young woman to be. By this time, their crew had realized how infatuated the pirate captain was with the former aristocrat, and plotted to get them together. After months of flirty banter back and forth, the two finally admit their feelings and kiss during a celebration, much to the relief of the crew. Several years pass, and Perrie is content with their relationship with Anne, who soon began to repeatedly ask them to marry her. After almost a year of this, Perrie finally relents and agrees to marry the delighted captain. They remain married until Anne's unfortunate death, and Perrie refuses to date anyone else, having dedicated their heart to the pirate captain.
