Voidcaller

Seth pounded the metal. The First Ability boosted his sight, enabling him to see exactly where to hit. The Second Ability guided his hands and strengthened his arms. The Third Ability allowed him to think with incredible celerity, planning changes and creating the best possible shape for his blade. With the Fourth Ability he grabbed tools he would need and pumped the bellows of the forge on his own, though they were across the room. With all the power he was using, he noticed that the Fifth Ability was causing his feet to float off the ground. The Sixth Ability pulsed through the sword, making it a literal extension of his body. Then, as he pulled the red-hot blade from the forge, Seth felt the Dimension calling him. He let the Seventh Ability take effect, and he was engulfed in the endless void. He could see nothing, hear nothing, but the glowing red sword blade floating in front of him. He needed no tongs; the Fourth Ability was sufficient for that. The Dimension couldn't accept the heat of his blade, keeping it red hot. It didn't belong in the Dimension, that much was clear, but the more Seth stayed in the ephemeral realm, the more he noticed his blade changing. The formerly red-hot blade was beginning to glow a deep violet. While in its molten state, the literal fabric of the Dimension was fusing with the sword's blade. Seth didn't understand how it was possible, but it honestly didn't matter. He knew he needed a way to get the Dimension's power into the First Brother and into his friend, and this was how he could do it. He held the Dimensiary connection for as long as he could, then let the Dimension spit him out into the natural realm. When the blade cooled, it was a beautiful black, almost obsidian, but deeper, somehow. As Seth sharpened it on his grindstone, it threw off a shower of purple sparks. The Dimension made no sense to Seth. At the same time it was timeless and spaceless, yet physical items and beings could travel into it. It was truly the absence of energy, and yet it was really an energy of itself. It was the definition of a paradox, an oxymoron, a realm that could not be accessed by any means other than the Seventh Ability, but that also undergirded the very foundation of the universe. Seth slid his new blade into a scabbard and hung it from his belt. It didn't feel right to have a sword bouncing by his side. "I name you Voidcaller, my conduit of Dimensional energy." Seth proclaimed. Then the blade disappeared. Panicked, Seth dove back into the Dimension, and there it floated, right next to his hip, about where his scabbard should be. He exited the Dimension, then attempted to grab his sword. No success. It wasn't just invisible, it was really gone.  Seth took a few steps back, then stuck his hand into the void. He expected to feel the sword out in front of him, but it was still by his side. He used the Seventh ability to yank the sword from the Dimension, and it emerged as a black blade glowing with a purple aura. He let it slide back, and it simply disappeared. He attempted to grab it from his side again, and sure enough, the blade was right where he wanted. Since time and space were irrelevant in the Dimension, Seth could pull his sword from anywhere. For a human, tunneling through the Dimension was exponentially detrimental; the further you went, the more the Dimension attempted to pull you all the way back to your starting point. Because Voidcaller was now fused with energy, Seth figured the Dimension could easily pass through it, meaning it could stay near Seth, in the Dimension, at all times. Seth let the blade back into the Dimension, then took off the scabbard. It was time to fight the First Brother.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Based off of the sword-making techniques of an ancient mountain people, whose very name is lost to history. Forged with Dimensiary energy inside it, enabling the sword to defy time and space. Can be unsheathed from within the Dimension anywhere in the physical world. The Dimension is infinite, meaning the Brother's energy is negated by its power.

Significance

Sword imbued with Dimensiary energy, capable of releasing The First Brother's hold on a person at the expense of cutting them. The deeper the cut, the quicker the magical connection is drained.
