Nalore Canyon

Now home to the city of the same name, Nalore Cayon has always been filled and surrounded by very dense vegetation. However, the trees and plants hanging on to the vertical sides of the Canyon do not raise their tops very high, leaving a wide enough gap above to go down to the river below in flight, offering one of the most impressive natural view in all of Aeria.
Nalore Canyon was naturally carved by the river now flowing at the bottom. The river, which takes its source into the mountains around High Perch, was quite tumultous at some different times in its history. Though there are still some rapids along it, the worst of it was during the First Isolation.   Already quite the green area, the forest around the canyon benefitted from the nutriments carried by the water to the banks and surrounding area during floods. Now that these nutrients have had plenty of time to yield results and that the water has receded back into its bed, leaving space for the vegetation to grow, plants grow wherever the eye carries one's observations. From the trees hanging to the cliffside to the moss covering the stones, plus the various ferns, flowers and shrubs, every tint of green seems to be displayed within the Canyon's confines.   Between the proximity of the area to the Elves' domain and the particularly rich flora, it has often been theorised that the area shares a particular link with the Feywilds, making it the perfect place to gather particularly potent arcane vegetal reagents that cannot be found anywhere else on Aeria. Rumors have also been told of a portal to the Feywilds, but if it has been seen, it was never documented for the public to know, and with the beginning of the Second Isolation, people have given up on finding it. Some even worry the area could lose much of its definning flora.
