Thanks to intense misuse, Esperbrook's soil suffered and would never recover.

With the nation now under the Artalgnian Empire's rule, Esperbrook was forced to produce more food while receive less for their effort. The farmers, are well as most of the people from the nation, faced decades of hunger, harsh work and submission. Artalgne forced them to make use of unsustainable farming methods to produce more food, but this eventually lead to the exhausting of the soil's great properties.   When Archana was free once again, it was already too late, the land was not what it used to be, and Esperbrook was unable to be the main source of food for the kingdom.
