Aeona

Over a thousand years have passed since the Old Gods faded from the land of Aeona, and the Kingdoms of the New Age rule with a cold exterior and iron grip. Magic is a forbidden practice, believed to be the work of Maela, the Fallen Goddess, destroyer of life, and is punishable by death. Being inhuman too, is a crime, and those remaining of the varied peoples of Aeona operate in a society of shadows, lives outside the law. When Marcus Davy finds himself aboard the ship of the notorious Captain Bluebeard, he finds himself accepted into a family like no other, and the motely crew of misfits soon discovers a rising threat not only to the world of the Outcasts, but to the fate of Aeona itself. Their journey will take them across the world of Aeona, to faraway islands and through cities rife with political conflict, to people of all walks of life and challenges like no other, all leading up to the final battle with a being whose centuries of sorrow and destruction threaten the very fabric of the entire universe.
