Titans

The very first creatures to exist, the Titans are the wellspring of everything that exists. When the Gods arranged the swirling chaos of Ginunggagap into Order, the Titans waged war with their children. Eventually, the Gods won, and the Titans were locked within the prison of Tartarus.
Ginunggagap, the Great Nothing, within which everything resides and from whose symphonies all things sprung.
Kronos, Grandfather Time, is the one who, in the end, makes nothing of all things, who will eventually devour even the Gods, his grandchildren, for their original sin.
Ananke, Grandmother Fate, who makes promises of destiny and greatness, but who devours all men in her jaws, crushing them in with own hubris.
Caelus, the Sky Father and the master of the heavens, the architect of all that moves above and the lord of every light bright above.
Gaia, the Earth Mother and the ground beneath us, who first gave birth to all things that slither or crawl.
Oceanus, the endless sea, is the father of the leviathans, sire of the Deep Ones and the master of the depths.
Hyperion, the eternal inferno, rages at the center of it all, his flames reaching out for all things.

Mythology & Lore

In the beginning, the Kronos and Ananke made merry with each other and from their incestuous union sprung the Titans; Caelus, Gaia, Oceanus and Hyperion. Like their parents, they had great fecundity and from those couplings came the Gods. The Gods, the children of the titans, would eventually turn on their parents, shaping a playground for themselves out of the very blood and bones of their parents.
