Nyx

Clad in black and shrouded in shadows, Nyx is the rarely seen, but often felt, Goddess of Night and Dreams. Nyx is a somber goddess, rarely presenting her commands and directives outright, preferring to leave enigmatic puzzles in the minds of the sleeper. For this reason, dreams are considered important messages, from which the wise and clever can glean answers about the world.
A lover of art in all its forms, Nyx also sends inspiration, both to the sleeping and those who merely daydream. Nyx loves few people more than those who would create something out of their imagination. Nyx values open-mindedness, flights of fancy and those who pre-occupy themselves with idle pursuits of creativity. She rejects those who care only about earthly affairs and the practical, finding them boring and outright destructive to the health of the universe as a whole.
Nyx is the patron of all artists, political revolutionaries and the young. Those who dream of a better world often sends her prayers and those who have nothing on Gaia can, in the embrace of Nyx' sleep, find anything they desire, at least for a few hours.
Nyx is often portrayed as a beautiful woman in a black gown, a veil covering her face or as a moving shadow.
Nyx is intimately tied to Morpheus, the ruler of the Dreaming, in whose castle she often spends the night.
