Dwarf
Dwarves are the children of Gaia and Vulcan, one of the first generation of mortals to be birthed into the world. The first race to hear the whispers of Mother Gaia, dwarven culture has been closely tied to the natural world since the Primal Aeon. Though the greatest age of the dwarves has come and gone again, many dwarven holds still stand fast and proud. Though there are still a great many small, underground dwarven kingdoms, dwarves have become ever more open to other ancestries, trading and establishing cultural exchanges with outsiders.
Dwarven affinity for the earth and stone is legendary and few dwarves haven’t, to some extent, worked with stone or metal in their life.
Dwarven adventurers are relatively rare, but some dwarves do feel an unquenchable wanderlust and they often find that their toughness is a valued trait in the mercenary and adventuring professions.
