Dragon
Majestic creatures of unrivaled arcane power, the Dragons are some of the mightiest beings to make their home on Gaia.
The children of the primeval dragons Bahamut and Tiamat, most dragons considers themselves the most noble of beings, showing deference to not even The Pantheon.
While once unified, the defeat of the Dragon Empire at the hands of Justain The Just caused a rift in the dragon community, spilling into a full-on religious civil war.
Dragons are largely split into two groupings: Metallic and Chromatic.
The Metallic Dragons hew close to the virtues of Bahamut and gain scales in his glimmering, metallic shine: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper and Brass.
The Chromatic Dragons places high the values of Tiamat the Hydra Queen and gain scales in the colors of her five heads: Red, Black, BlueGreen and White.

Basic Information
Anatomy
Dragons have four legs, with exceedingly powerful hindlegs which can support their entire weight if the claws on the forelegs are used for attacking. They have two wings which helps stabilize the creature's flight, although current academical research suggests that they do not have the size to carry the beast without the aid of magic.
Dragons are covered in scales, varying greatly in thickness and texture depending on age and color. On the youngest of dragons, the scales are flexible and pliable akin to leather, though significantly tougher. On older dragons, the scales become firmer, eventually surpassing the toughness of steel and on the oldest dragons, nearing that of Adamantine.
