Aemnus, the Umbra World
625 AW
After the horrendous
Cataclysm, Aemnus never was the same. Since the great titans Braid and Bripor fought, the balance of the world was overthrown: the land cracked while wailing; the mountains broke and cried in raging fire; typhoons razed the land and farmsteads, erasing every livestock. Even the divine dimensions over the skies fractured. Human knowledge before the event was lost then, shredded in pieces and rotted in swamps of blood. The land remained silent, with pieces of wat ere human armies and bodies.
The
Coliseum was built then, and since, the adventuring guilds made it a place to stop the ongoing conflicts and relief humanity. It healed the world and the scars, over time. It joined people together to protect the innocent, and defeat the vile, even in the most dire situations.
Now, six hundred years latter, after humanity took a roost to heal, a second event turned most of the lifeforms into black eldritch beasts out of control. An era of darkness arose, and now the old war-waging kingdoms of the world are beggining to appreciate and miss the alliances and companionships, now torn over the course of the past conflicts. There must be someone behind these event. Or rather, something. Long buried arcane secrets of the lost old kingdoms speak of an ancient beast, which power beyond comprehension could make people mad only to imagine it. The past, is our only hope, and its tainted.
Can Aemnus population join an alliance to stop the growing darkness? Can they forgive their past war crimes, in hope for a better future? Our hearts tells us we could, but our prophets spoke that the hope is long lost, laying in tombs of the ancient ruins of the human and Eaternan knowledge.
