Dragonborn

The Dragonborn of Rhokarn are a hardy sort, they span the gamut of Chromatic and Metallic varieties. They are one of the most prevalent races on Evenfall, having the largest kingdom and occupying the largest island nation. Most Dragonborn are part of a clan, each clan is headed by a Chieften who sits on the Clanmoot, the ruling body in Rhokarn. The Clanmoot makes decisions and rules via a democratic process with much discussion before the casting of votes. A majority rule decides the fate of the kingdom. The Clanmoot meets in Lorkan, the kingdom's capital.   Many of the Dragonborn are followers of Bahamut and their greatest legend involves him. The legend states that as the fall of Beorzahn, during The Shattering, the lands of Myilxar began to crack from the stress of the continents sundering. The Great Platinum Dragon Bahamut sent down his greatest champion, Rhokarn, to save his children. It is said that Rhokarn used his body to support the lands of Myilxar and prevent them from sinking into the sea along with Beorzahn, but the effort was too great for the Champion and he collapsed, his neck and head draping themselves across Myilxar forming the mountain ranges that cut across the land and his dying breath blew forth creating the desert wasteland known as The Maw. The disparate clans then decided to come together and form the Clanship and their first order of business was to rename the lands of Myilxar to Rhokarn, after the Champion that saved them.   There is a clan of dragonborn who wish to secede from the Clanship, they are located on the north western island, separated from the mainland of Rhokarn by The Shatterway. These dragonborn reject what they see as the religious zealotry of the Clanmoot.   Each Dragonborn Clan has it's own name, they are as follows:
  • Black - Clan Atereus
  • Blue - Clan Caeruleus
  • Brass - Clan Aeneus
  • Bronze - Clan Pyropeus
  • Copper - Clan Cupreus
  • Gold - Clan Aureus
  • Green - Clan Virideus
  • Red - Clan Rubeus
  • Silver - Clan Argenteus
  • White - Clan Albeus
Players who choose to play a Dragonborn can choose whether or not to be associated with their clan for roleplay purposes.    The stats for the Dragonborn will follow those laid out in the Player's Handbook.   Most Dragonborn in Aellorim have tails.
