Aegea

A world of swords and magic, inhabited by all sorts of races and filled with breath-taking sights and terrible dangers. The known world is composed by two continents: Laeria, which has been fully explored and is home to the main races of the setting, and Adavia, a wild and mysterious land filled with exotic races.   The gods created the world and gave magic to the mortal races, even though each race approaches magic and religion on its own way, but they don't interfere directly in their affairs. Instead, they grant their Champions their "Blessings", spectacular powers that allows them to stand above the rest and make their will (and, supposedly, that of the gods) a reality, even though this isn't always a good thing. Usually, those who gain the support of a god through their deeds or their nature become Champions and obtain a "Blessing", but the ones who wield the greatest power are usually not those who earned it in their current life but rather those whose soul has brought from Earth after their death and was reincarnated as an inhabitant of Aegea with all the memories of its past life. It's these Champions who leave the greatest mark in the world.   After the rise and fall of the terrible Dark Lord and his demons (mortal beings who sold their soul to the God of Evil in exhange for his own twisted "Blessing") five centuries ago, the Laeria continent suffered radical changes. Great kingdoms fell and new kingdoms rose from the ashes; chaos, anarchy and death roamed the land for many generations; and the very sociopolitical structure of the continent became something completely new. In its current stage, the Laeria continent is still a land rules by kings and emperors vying for power and the prosperity of their people, while independent organizations such as the Adventurers' Guild and Merchant's Guild spread acroos the known world as neutral forces that seek to bring peace and prosperity to every land.   And yet, in the shadows of this new world, secret powers move without being seen or known, carrying out their own goals and clashing with those who oppose them.
