Resolute Hall
One of the oldest landmarks within the city, Resolute Hall has changed hands many times in its history. Initially constructed as a guildhall, it was subsequently modified to serve as a cathedral dedicated to Penem. However, it now exists as the headquarters for the Order of the Blade.
It is located firmly in the southern district of Riven, alongside many craftsman guilds and merchants. Because of this, the Order of the Blade enjoys good relations with the city's artisans.
Alterations
Decorations of the hall are sparse at best, although some of the relics of the order's history are kept safely within its walls. Banners depicting the winged sword are frequent, hanging over doorways and in the larger rooms. Murals and glass stained windows contain imagery of the order's founding as well as critical battles and adventures its members have fought in. However, the Order of the Blade does not always stay in one place, and therefore the upkeep is left to the stewards of the building. Little of its members' armaments are actually left within the chests and vaults, leaving most of the private quarters in similar states to an inn.
Architecture
Resolute Hall is built of limestone bricks in the same architectural style as many of the other Tusnyan buildings within the city. It's off-white color stands in stark contrast to the grand stained-glass windows providing the hall with rays of color. Seen from the entrance, they depict scenes such as the founder of the order with his blade held outward, pointing towards a river in the distance.
Inside, the design is similar to that of a cathedral, with limestone columns and ornate rugs covering the dark hardwood flooring. Chandeliers hang high in the vaulted ceiling, providing ample light, although some of the alcoves remain hidden in shadow. The guildhall has a large foyer which serves as a gathering place for announcements and forums pertinent to the citizens of Riven. Otherwise, many of the meetings are held behind closed doors in one of the several private rooms in the back of the structure.
Tourism
Due to the reputation of the Order of the Blade, very important guests frequent their guildhall, such as nobility, heads of government, and commanders of military forces. As such, they have dedicated rooms that the members meet with these high level authorities, and treat them to accommodations respective of their position, such as ornate furniture, exquisite meals, and luxurious quarters.
