The Barren Sea

The Barren Sea is a massive expanse of water located in the northwestern region of Ner Arion. Many docks, trading posts, and towns have sprung up around this inland sea because it is a reliable source of fresh water and fish. Usually quite calm, the wave become vary extreme during storms, sometimes reaching twenty feet tall.
The Barren Sea is sometimes referred to as The Sea of the Dead because it is rumored that on the the solstice spirits can be seen floating beneath the surface

Geography

Located in northwest Ner Arion, the Barren sea cover a few hundred miles. Mountains are located to its west.

Fauna & Flora

Large kelp forests grow in the depths of the Barren Sea. Fish known as Kelpioids dwell within these forests and feed on the kelp.
 Kelpioids have a dark green color which helps them blend into there habitat and hide from predators. The kelpioid is a large fish usually two to three feet long and are extremely fat. The Barren Sea is the main
