Kudz-Ud Geographic Location in Adin | World Anvil

Kudz-Ud

Kudz-Ud is the second largest moon of Adin, in a geosynchronous orbit over the Sherdasa continent. It is covered in concentric circles of green vegetation, forming what appears to be a large eye gazing down at Adin. The center of this eye is luminous, believed to be an immense deposit of some super-heavy element ejected from Po Tolo when it became a white dwarf. When the gods first arrived in the system, Kudz-Ud was in a decaying orbit that would cause it to collide with Adin and result in the destruction of both. The gods adjusted the orbit and set it in its geosynchronous location, but the current orbit is still not completely stable. Although the moon is always in the sky over Sherdasa, there is a periodic wobble of about 8 degrees north-south.
