2022 Reading Challenge!

WorldEmber. Was. Hard.   Everyone was there, I don't have to tell you. ;)   I had hoped to get more than just 10 articles in here, but my January has been occupied with WorldEmber levels of map making, and I may have gotten carried away a little.   There were SO many amazing articles from WE, new friends made, new worlds followed, I can't possibly choose favorites. So here, in no particular order, are ten *of the* epic articles I've found during WorldEmber that I've got marked to steal wonderful new skills from. :)       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/the-12-worlds-thearchmagos/a/boxer-barrow-vehicle   This is a great writeup of the history and adaptations made to Archmagos' war planes.       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/samtho-kveldulfr83/a/baagogai--species   Kveldulfr's yeti-like creature is described here in amazing detail. This should be a standard for any creature article.       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/niorath-kefkejaco/a/dragon-freedom-plot   Kefkejaco provides a one-shot Plot article here that really shines, both the writing and the format!       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/empire-of-the-covenant/a/the-sweats-disease-condition   In this brilliant blend of narrative and exposition, AmélieIS details a misunderstood disease from her world.       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/the-sixth-kingdom-crazyeddie/a/religion-der-sechs-organization   CrazyEddie gives a great example here of how to put together a religion article. Lots of details, I love me some details.       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/world-of-wizard-s-peak-kitoypoy/a/pit-wall-landmark   Short but sweet, kitoypoy's article about this impenetrable defensive wall is a good teaser into his world. Any wall with this much detail is bound to be tested somewhere in the story... ;)       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/alana/a/periwinkle-s-token-dispenser   Tillerz has given us this beautiful article on a magic shop and the fantastic random magic item generator within.       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/anhult/a/ground-dragon-bones-material   George Sanders gives another good example of exposition through narrative.     https://www.worldanvil.com/w/liminal-chronicles/a/kojin-s-tears-material   This article from Shyredfox goes into some great detail about the composition of her material, and the ethical consequences of its production.       https://www.worldanvil.com/w/yenort-secere-laetes/a/juala-annaser-person   And finally, from Secere Leates, an amazing character piece, one I have already taken notes from. lol       This year, my goals are to learn from these ten and dozens of other fine examples of writing I've already found in the community, find more, and keep hitting that forge! I have books to write!
