Rui

The rui are a nomandic group native to the Sella Highlands. They live primarily in the mountains to the northern end of the region and herd mountain goats. Most rui have natural healing abilities. This combined with their high-up location leads to the common idea that rui are the closest in Sella to the divine. Different families of rui tend to follow different patterns for their travel, and have slightly different dialects and culture, with history and myths unique that family.

Family names

A rui family actually consists of many smaller families who all live and travel together. Every member of the larger group shares a single family name. If a rui person joins a different family, through marriage or otherwise, they take on that family name.
