The Soul

Souls are fluid and are the only requirement needed to use magic. They are the “consciousness” of the body, the drive to survive and advance, but they go far below that. Souls are in nerve impulses and muscle spasms, they are the very chemical reactions that define life as repeating chemical patterns. And yet, this is only a tiny piece of what the soul is capable of.
Souls are divided into four parts, which are all held together by the Archetype.
Magic - the ability to manipulate energy to influence the world. Contains Potential magic and life force.
Emotion - to feel and react to the environment, the inherent fear of death and drive to survive.
Mind - concepts and experiences stored as memories, opinions and personality.
Body - the link to life, the piece left behind after death.
These pieces manifest in different ways, which are why we have different personalities but the same primal drives; the soul takes different priorities.
Life force is a pool of energy stored within a soul. The more “force” a soul contains, the harder it is to destroy. It can be transferred to others, healing wounds, or converted to magical potential, casting magic at the risk of one's life. It recharges along with the body, especially after a near death experience.
