Humans

Humans are probably the second most numerous and widespread of all the races in this world. How they came to hold such a foothold in in Aclia is beyond me; they are as versatile as they get. They have a little bit of everything in them, they're jacks-of-all-trades but are masters of none. They are short-lived and stubborn; the closer they get to dying the more they struggle for life. There seems to be no way to stop them, not that anyone really wants to. Humans are kindhearted creatures most of the time, though twisted nonetheless. They are easily corruptible and even more easily killed, though their will to survive is beyond that of almost any race. If you conquer them just know that the tighter you hold the harder they struggle for freedom.
There seems to only be two ways to hold a human kingdom indefinitely: keep the populace happy or slaughter them all and let their blood run through the streets. Neither is easy but still possible, however, as I said, they are weak compared to the other races. Despite this, they seem to have more heroes than any other race combined. The only likely reason for their survival is that some god has decided to bless them with infinite heroism or something of that ilk. Heroes are special cases, they exist when members of the race go beyond human capabilities and perform deeds greater than we can ever imagine. These heroes always seem to know when to appear to be honest, it is strange...
