The Earth Clan
The Earth Clan is one of the four Great Clans of Acciphere, and is located mainly in the Garfaxin Kingdom. It's a very large clan, but was annihilated by Leonidas in the year 1288 KE. The people that form the Earth Clan are mostly single-minded and have very strong willpower. Their persistence and will to endure surprises any normal human.
Structure
The Clan's hierarchy of organization is more like a tree than the usual linear pattern. Everyone starts off as an Earth Apprentice, from which they grow and take up different professions. Some people take up the job of priest, for whom there's a coming-of-age ritual. Others can get more skilled in controlling the element of Earth, and from there they can go to join the military forces, or teach young kids. All the Chiefs of the Earth Clan come from the main family, and the other 'branch' families take up the role of assisting the Chief and protecting the main family at all costs. If there's two kids born to the head of the main family, then the family of the one born second will be considered a branch family.
Culture
The Earth Clan's culture has developed around the main 'spirits' of nature, which they believe are the ones who regulate everything from falling apart. They believe everything from the rocks to the trees have a spirit inside them, so they're nice spots for worship. There is a secret cult of the Earth Clan, that lives deep underground. They don't believe in peace like the other members of the Clan do, and have tried to carry out secret operations to infiltrate the other Clans, but failed. This secret cult also practices the Forbidden arts of manipulating earth-like elements, whose names have been given below:
- Lava
- Glass
- Mud
- Metal
- Sand
History
A gift from God himself
After God sealed the four Beasts of Power inside the Artefacts, he gave the Earth Artefact to Nature, so it could help her work her magic more easily. Using its power, she started creating her very own magical and mysterious forest, which would soon be called as the Garfaxin Forest. After she used it, she would store it underground, and then take it out next day, to create more forest. Over time, she grew evil with the power she had, and started stealing humans from nearby villages in groups, so she could overrun them with trees.Of course, the humans intervened. They suspected how a forest of such a huge scale could suddenly just pop up out of nowhere. When they sent expeditions of humans to check out the forest and get its produce, Nature killed them with the help of the Earth Artefact. When the humans set their eyes on the stone, they grew mesmerised by it, and made a plot to steal it from her. They succeeded in doing so, but after a lot of casualities. Nature now became a powerless god, with her now decreased power only being able to keep the existing plants rejuvenated. From then, she would store bits of her power inside her forehead, using it once every hundred years to make the plants grow rapidly. But thankfully, this is controlled by the Earth Clan, even until now.
Growth and Decimation
The Clan grew throughout the ages. Unlike the other clans, the members of the Earth Clan were never in a way controlled by the Artefacts' power. They were also very different from the other clans in the sense that they always tried to avoid a battle. They were of great help to the Garfaxin Kingdom in the war, and were only defeated once in the War of the Kingdoms. They were the first ones to make the first step towards what would become the greatest peace treaty in Acciphere's history. But it all went downhill for the clan when Leonidas defeated the clan.
On his rampage to destroy the four Great Clans of Acciphere, he ultimately ended up laying waste to the Earth Clan and stealing their scripts. Only two teenagers named Frank and Emmett were able to escape Leonidas's wrath, and ultimately defeated him with the help of the other victims. The Earth Clan had a hard time coping up since their endangerment, but with their willpower and strong determination, they are sure to have a good future ahead of them.

"If there's two kids born to the head of the main family, then the family of the one born second will be considered a branch family." This so reminds me of what happened in the Hyuga family, even though they didn't start of from the branch family. A small grammar error: "grew" instead of "growed". I like how this Clan adds to the World and how it sort of maintains certain values, styles, etc. It's a shame they were decimated, though. :/
So lately I've been watching Naruto, and the Hyuga Clan inspired me. So, I based the Earth Clan off of the Hyuga Clan a little. Thanks for the criticism!
