02 - Investigating the dissapearance of Floon
General Summary
After getting some info from Volo about his friends last whereabouts, adventurers walk from the the Yawning Portal towards the last place Floon was seen.
On the way they see the result of a violent skirmish between Zhentarim and Xanatar guilds with a lot of dead bodies and some arrested live members.
They notice a strange looking building on the corner of a street - Old Xoblobs shop, smoke and buy some purple-smoke tobacco from the shopkeeper, as well some more interesting items. The owner also tells them about seeing a very drunk Floon and another similar guy being followed by 5 people in black jackets.
Adventurers get similar info in the Inn Floon was last seen in. They also find out whereabouts of these suspicious black-jacketed people, after finding the warehouse that they supposedly frequent, they break in and are attacked by 4 strange bird-looking people - kenku. After a tough fight where Ulbur is knocked on his head and goes down, they make the kenku surrender. After some tough beating up and interrogation, the kenku repeat some important phrases, mentioning Xanatar and yellow markings in the sewers. Adventurers also see that before their arrival there was a deadly fight in the warehouse, and there are many dead bodies lying at one of the walls.
Adventurers investigate the surrounding rooms and find Renaer Neverember, the friend Floon was together at the time of kidnapping. They also find some hidden, probably stolen, merchandise, as well as some decent weapons from the dead bodies.
City Watch arrives to investigate disturbance, but thanks to Renaer, leave adventurers alone.

- A rank insignia from a lost legionnaire
- An old key
- Tobacco that makes purple smoke
- A 1-ounce block made from an unknown material - broken from a larger piece, silver colored with dark lines in it
- fifteen 10-pound silver trade bars, all black from corrosion but still worth 50 gp each
- four wood-framed paintings wrapped in leather. The paintings depict the cities of Luskan, Neverwinter, Silverymoon, and Baldur’s Gate and are worth 75 gp each
- A pack of 8 paper birds
