Acatane

Acatane is an entire dimension settled between the one universe and another. It can be thought of as a pocket universe or an inter-dimensional plain. It was created by Yggdrasil, the tree of worlds, when The Purge began to serve as a safe haven for all Magic Folk to live together in harmony away from the Humans that waged war on them.   Acatane is both a city and and a dimension in itself. The only way in to Acatane is through Yggdrasil's doorway in the base of the trunk. The door can only be opened by the presence and/or touch of any creature with magic. The dimension is also maintained by Yggdrasil's life force; if Yggdrasil were to die, the dimension would collapse.   Inside, Acatane is home to many different species, Sapient and not, including Paka , Phoenix and many, many more.   The leader of Acatane is known as the Head Mage who are elected by the citizens as the best suited to attend to the needs of all the species living in the city. The Head Mage also has a Council and all actions must be agreed upon by a majority vote.
