    A group of Mages takes power in the city state of Tasnica. Their magical powers are well beyond that of any wizard, sorcerer or cleric. They claim to be a race distinct from humans though they are physically indistinguishable. This event sparks the beginning of the Age of Emancipation.

    The four elemental isles: Winlan, Arendale, Gant and Lufia are annexed by the Tasnican Republic. The rulers of the first three, having surrendered willingly retain control of their kingdom. The Fire King of Lufia and his family, having resisted the Tasnican advanced, are exterminated and their capital razed.

    A group of Mages expatriates from Tasnica take political control of the island of Shima.

    The Godess Gwenevyre is devoured by Undead Lord Aldrich, ending the Way of White, and the Sorcerer Sulyvahn takes over the Kingdom of Borelia.

    A group of scholars from the Howard Phillips College of Byrgenwurt discover an ancient network of catacombs under the nearby city of Yharnam.

    Kerebalia, last Kingdom of the High Elves, falls to Vampire Lord Lucita. The city is renamed Kerbala and becomes the provincial capital of the Imperial province of Weissgard. This event marks the end of the Age of Emancipation.

    A conspiracy involving the Vampires of the Camarilla, a cabal of liches, and the Tasnican Republic destroy the Imperial capital, Thamassa, killing the Emperor, Thamcyan XIII, his immediate family and most of his clan. The Lich Lord Amadeus the Deathless crowns himself Emperor.

    Angelika Magull, leader of the White Wings, tamer of dragons, leads the Lorinthian uprising to victory against the Black Fangs and is crowned First Queen of Lorinth.

    Healing Church takes over Sanguis
    Political event

    Vampire Lord Lux and most of his clan is destoyed, allowing the Healing Church of Yharnam to take over the city and the Kingdom, declaring the Republic of Sanguis.

    The city state of Themistoe drives back the army of the Kingdom of Gaanick mostly thanks to the Dragonborn veterans volunteers and the fact that the Ironbreath Kobold clan refused to fight their former comrades in arms of the Great War.

    Under a full moon, after months of increasingly bloody nights, a collective murderous fever engulfed the city of Yharnam. At dawn, nearly two-thirds of the original population of Yharnam was dead and the survivors refused to discuss what became to be known as the Great Nightmare.
