Ashen Choir

The Ashen Choir dates back to the Age of Gods, and possibly before it, though its name, scope and power varied considerably. At its core, the Ashen Choir was always constituted of three Witches. Upon its death, a Witch would pass down its power and possessions to a successor. It was in the early days of the Age of Emancipation that the Ashen Choir took overt control of Cineralis , after its formal alliance with the Garou tribe that later became the Crimson Spirals.

Each of the Witches has a group of female servants called Choir Attendants. Attendants serve a wide range of purposes, from simple servants to spies and assassins. Each Witch have distinct criterias for recruitment and dismissal of their attendants. For instance, Lady Jaila only picks widows who have buried at least one child. Jaila’s “widows” are expected to serve until death. Meanwhile, Lady Frieda only recruits young attractive human virgins who may leave should they wish to marry. At any given time, each Witch has three favored attendants, called Daughters, who are groomed in the arts of magic and witchcraft. Should one Witch die, one of the Daughters, selected by the two other Witches, would take its place.
