Spirit Forest

A dangerous place for those who aren't welcome, the Spirit Forest is a mysterious place many adventurers try and fail to enter. The few intelligent things that come out of the forest tell wild tales of supersized flora and fauna. Though, some of them might be true, since the giant trees can be seen outside the forest.

Geography

The forest covers much of the southwest of the continent. The outer part is extremely foggy, damp, and hard to navigate. The mid part is warm, with plenty of sunlight coming through the trees. This is the most populated portion. The very center has two layers of trees, the lower layer sprinkled with normally sized trees. The upper layer is made up of giant trees that scrape sky. In the very center is the largest tree, which is said to be the heart of the forest.

Fauna & Flora

There are many diverse species, but among the greatest are the giant trees that tower above the rest. They are only in the center of the forest, and support an entire city. The Center Tree, the largest and oldest tree, spreads even over the giant trees. Spirit dragons and fae call the forest center home. There are white deer, ghostly owls, and giant insects which can only be found naturally in this forest.Also, tales tell of unnamed beings who reside in the shadows of the giant trees, waiting for unsuspecting prey.

Natural Resources

The forest provides large amounts of wood, though loggers have to be careful, as many of the trees belong to dryads. The forest also provides homes, with many living inside the giant trees. There are many foraging opportunities as well, with many plants that cannot be found anywhere else.
