Elven History Notes
Elven or Elfin
The Elvish history upon Aardren is not a pleasant one. To begin it followed the invasions of the Mind Flayers and the Demons. With much of the world's people beaten down and bled for the pass decades they were of course apprehensive to the newcomers. The Eladrin the original? Purest? The elven kind who naturally dwell on the fey opened their first gates upon the world and marched out demanding to meet the local ruler. They looked down upon the ravaged landscape and the decimated city they came upon as one looks down upon trash. Not knowing of the suffering or hardships felt by the people they had judge them wanting. Following the initial talks they had with the rulers saw them allowed to open trade in hopes to restore the land. Unfortunately they found the Eladrin quickly pushing their faith upon the people and offering in turn for fealty. The local lords took great offense and retaliated. Unfortunately they underestimated the forces and the speed the Eladrin could muster. Then more of their damned gates opened up, more envoys arrived, more priest preached their god. In time they would subvert hard fought rulers with faith or steel. Slowly but surely they pushed and the worn forces could not muster enough to hold them back. In time they covered Aardren far more thoroughly then any other who had tried. Fortunately with the upset to their godly pantheon opportunity presented itself. Plans laid down for decades began to manifest and revolt from nearly all of the 'vassalized' kingdoms. The Imperium rose and spread its wings. The Dwarves open fired with their new weapons. The Free Men of the south turned the land and beasts against the Eladrin and the newl minted elves, those fey blood born upon earth. With war on a hundred fronts and the civil unrest caused by the godly upheaval the overstretched hand slipped. They would fall back evacuating through the gates they set up. But not all would be able to flee. Those left behind would see themselves fleeing to the V'Splinderd Isles living in a semi exile on the inhospitable remains of the central isle.
