NIX-13 'Caterpillar'

The NIX-13 'Caterpillar' is an armored military-style troop transporter and assault craft. The manufacturing company is New Forge Military Systems. The 'Caterpillar' is designed to carry up to 48 soldiers into combat, and is essentially a large, armored school bus with guns. Built after the Ecleinian military requested a ground transportation system that could carry troops into dangerous areas, the NIX-13 carries troops into battle at speeds up to 145 kilometers per hour. It has 13 onboard weapons systems, specially-built armoring, and is used frequently all around the world.   Built before the First Corporate War, the NIX-13 'Caterpillar' first gained a reputation as a fierce and fast vehicle. The Ecleinian military used it to a great effect in the Battle of the Burning Fields, and to a lesser extent during the Battle of Candfourth. Soldiers and officers had high praise for the craft, leading the Ecleinian military to purchase 5,000 units. After the Third Dark War, the Ecleinian military purchased another 2,000, which saw widespread use during the early years of June Sowager's reign as Queen of Ecleinia.

Weapons & Armament

A standard NIX-13 'Caterpillar' will carry a variety of arms onboard. There is one cannon mounted on the roof of the vehicle with multiple firing modes, which include standard firing, rapid firing, a shelling mode, and a heavy explosive blast. In addition, mounted guns line the interior of the bus, which can be raised to fire out of a window quickly, and are designed to be used by troops inside the vehicle. These guns only have a rapid firing mode, although the strength of each bolt can be modified.

Armor and defense

The NIX-13 'Caterpillar' has Class 4 Armored Plating, rated for intense combat and constant wear-and-tear. The armor can take extreme amounts of damage, and there are multiple reports of this armor surviving direct hits from missiles.
