Magic

Magic has been around since the beginning of history. Throughout time, it has manifested itself in countless numbers of people. Currently, about one third of the world's population are magic users. Magic is passed down genetically, and is a recessive trait (in contrast, there is a dominant "non-magic" trait). The type of magic is also passed down genetically.

Terrestrial Magic

The term terrestrial magic refers to the types of magic which are inherent to human beings. No other type of animal is capable of using magic.   Terrestrial magic is usually first seen in children around the age of puberty. There are mandatory classes at school for children with magic. For children wishing to enter a career where they will use their magic, there are special colleges. All people with magic must be registered as such.   Certain types of magic are not as common as others. For example, Luxomagie and Exomagie are much more rare than AquamagieAquamagieAquamagieAquamagieAquamagie or Pyromagie.   Certain types of magic also have subset magics. For example, someone with Aquamagie would also be able to perform Biomagie Positive or Biomagie Négative. All Biomagies have Aquamagie, and therefore, if an Aquamagie wishes to be trained in Biomagie, they must first become proficient at Aquamagie.   To read about each specific type of terrestrial magic, refer to the following articles: Aquamagie: information on Aquamagie and both Biomagie Positive and Biomagie Négative.

Celestial Magic

Celestial magic is the magic inherent to celestial bodies. These celestial bodies can be Stars, Satellites, Planets, Galaxies, Black Holes, and Nebulae. Different celestial bodies have different types of magic. Every celestial body has magic.

Stars

A Star has the ability to manipulate fire and plasma. While a Star's magic greatly resembles that of human Pyromagies, it is much more versatile and harder to control. A Star can use her power to create a Solar Flare, or a great burst of energy. Stars can also use their magic to create large amounts of heat. (WIP)

Black Holes

Nebulae

A Nebula has the magic to create Stardust, the building block of all things in the universe. Nebulae craft Stardust incredibly slow -- at least, in human terms. With this Stardust, they can then set about creating almost anything they want, so long as it complies to The Celestial Laws. Nebulae do not have the power to destroy things, only to create.
