This story takes place in Allen, TX, following the life of Wynter Black. She's a loner, but she doesn't mind. Her one and only friend, Karen - her best friend, makes her life so much better just by existing. They're practically inseparable when they're together.   In stumbles Forrest Harrington. He's new to Allen and is still trying to get his bearings when Wynter trips in the school hallway, causing the both of them to go tumbling down.
