The Elven Pantheon

The Faith of the Elfs

The elves worship three prime gods that all have lesser incarnations. This lesser gods are so called "aspect" gods. All of which embody a aspect of the prime god. Many of whom where born lived and died among the elves as their great god-kings and queens of old. This divine royalty are also seen as the ancestors of all elves.   The primal gods all represent, and have dominion over, a heavenly object. This being the moon, the sun and the earth itself. According to elven faith Hadrak, the moon spirit, was the first being in the universe. Hadrak then created Hellion, the sun god. After his creation Hellion found his creator cold and the sun god felt alone.   So he saw a barren planet that held great beauty and kissed life into it. Those creating Quenwen, the Earth Mother. She then created life and gave birth to magic and the elves.   This is the basis for the elven faith. This three gods whom created one another and then life. Tho not of even this gods where in themselves perfect. This is the reason for their habit of reincarnating themselves and trying to better themselves and create a perfect being. The hunt for this divine perfection is one of the prime driving forces of all elven people and a central theme in many of there myths.
