Hostile Takeover of the Parkston Group

This takeover was carried out shortly after the veil fell. The military tech company Lytton Arms descends on the unsuspecting Parkston Group.

Prelude

After the fall of the veil, an intelligence officer in the Parkston Group was approached by a competitor of Lytton Arms to collect intelligence on their technologies. One employee was sent to infiltrate the company and attempt to gain access to their servers. He managed to do so rather easily. Lytton Arms security was not prepared to deal with a human attempting to gain access to their systems. Within a month he was able to access secret data and started leaking it to his employer.

Spy Discovered

In an unscheduled patrol in the data warehouse, a security guard discovered the spy and apprehended him. The security team of Lytton Arms brought the spy to their headquarters and started interrogating him. They operated under the assumption that this spy must have been sent by another supernatural faction. However, no matter what they did they were unable to get this man to talk. They also could not find any information about him in any way. They had his phone, but the cybersecurity specialists of Lytton Arms were unable to crack it.

Delma Lytton Takes Action

After a few days, Allan Parker decided to inform Delma Lytton of the breach and their failure to contain it. She could not get the spy to talk either. However, she called in a favour and recruited the cyber-witch Alaura Thompson to hack the phone.   Within a few days, she was able to recover some information from the phone. This led to Delma Lytton and her security team to the girlfriend of the spy. After interrogating her the name Parkston Group fell for the first time.

The Takeover

Beginning on November 17th Lytton Arms begins an aggressive, hostile takeover by buying as many shares of the shareholders as possible. They managed to do so in complete secrecy. Shareholders with just a small number fo shares were bought out by considerably overpaying for each share. Within five days Delma owned 43% of the Parkston Group.   The rest of the shares were in the hands of a small group of people who were unwilling to give up control over the company no matter the payday. After locating all of them Delma sent her security personnel after the few holdouts and entice them to sign over the company shares at market value; forcibly if necessary.   She took it upon herself to storm the Parkston Group headquarters in Manhattan to get the CEO of the group to sign over his shares. She and two security guards of Lytton Arms entered the building on November 23rd. On her way to the office of the CEO, six security guards of the group were injured.   Once in the office, it took her only five minutes to convince the CEO to surrender and sell his share to Delma.

Repercussions

The Parkston Group is now under full ownership of Delma Lytton. Very little changed for the companies everyday operations as nobody was fired. However, their mission was changed to now primarily protect the assets and intelligence of Lytton Arms against human competitors.   The injured spy and security guards were paid off with a total of 225 million dollars to keep quiet about the incident. There was no big press coverage as the public relation teams of the two companies were able to construct a narrative of the creation of a mutually beneficial partnership.   However, the other players within the private intelligence community took note to stay away from Lytton Arms and several ended up cancelling contracts against Lytton Arms.

Author's Notes

One of the first conflicts between a supernatural and a human company. In this case, the supernatural wins easily. The article still needs a lot of polish, a timeline and a lot of context articles.

Yikes, don't want to get on the bad side of Lytton Arms. Poor humans had no chance really.

Yeah, luckily it is not so hard to stay out of their way. Just bad luck on the part of the Parkston Group that they were the first to be caught spying on them!
