Autumn's Anguish
Properties

A hearty, dense gray fog that is resistant to efforts to dissipate it or burn it off and obscures even enhanced visual acuity.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Moist, enough so that prolonged time in the fogs will soak a person through.
Geology & Geography
While similar fog does manifest in societies throughout the world, none are quite as distinctive nor as deadly as what's found in Unipea.
Origin & Source
Currently unknown, a seemingly supernatural yet unsourced weather pattern
History & Usage
Discovery
The origins of the fog are unknown, records dating back centuries show a consistent uptick in deaths during the period the fog is known to occur but the aberration was not attributed to the fog itself until stories of an entire village being consumed by the fog began to circulate.
Cultural Significance and Usage
Autumn's Anguish, also known as the Fog of Fall or the Cleansing Clouds, is an annually occurring weather phenomenon within the allied territory of Unipea. It marks the beginning of the fall season and the approaching equinox. What makes the autumn fog in Unipea so special though in short is that it's homicidal. Children are taught from a young age to be wary of the fog, it can be disorienting, lead you astray, but also give shelter to a variety of creatures who would do you harm.
Some groups almost worship the fog, sacrificing things to it and ascribing to it a malevolent sentience, a will of its own though no research has yet confirmed such beliefs. They consider what the fog does a blessing, a cleansing of their lands and people before winter sets in and nature's cycle of rebirth begins again.
Distribution
Storage
So far attempts to bottle, contain, or otherwise store the fog for research purposes have proven futile. Even in rare instance when successfully captured separating the fog from the greater whole seems to render it inert thus defeating the purpose.
