Tag Overview Table in SoulLinks' Foundry | World Anvil

Tag Overview Table

A utility function which creates a table of all your tags within the world. This helps to find typos and manage the tags you have used within the world. The output csv can be imported into an interactive table in WorldAnvil.

Step 1

Fill in the form of the endpoint and generate the table. The output will be shown in a modal textarea. Copy and paste all the content from it. This can take a minute so don't navigate away from the page.
  • Options:
    • Navigate search link on roll?: When the table is rolled this will navigate to the search page of the rolled tag row.
    • Open search in new tab?: Open the search page in a new tab or on the same page.
    • Add article count?: Add a column with the number of articles a tag is applied to.

Step 2

Once the file is on your desktop you can create an interactive table via the World Anvil interface. The table needs the following columns:
  1. Name (Type Text): Contains the tag.
  2. Article Count (Number; Optional): Only add this column if the article count is added.
  3. Related Tags (Type Text): A list of all the tags which are present on articles with the tag of this row.
  4. Link(Type Link / URL): A link to the tag search page.

Step 3

After the table is ready go to the file you downloaded in the previous step and open it with a text editor (as it is stored as a .txt file your OS should do this automatically when you double click). Once it is open copy and paste all the content except for the last empty line! This line will screw up the import if it is added.

Step 4

Now go back to table in the World Anvil interface and open Advanced Settings of the table. Press the red button Import from CSV. Now paste the copied text into the field which pops up in the modal. Once the text is in the input box save. A short moment later the page should reload and should display the populated table. If nothing happens an error occured.

Step 5

Now you can embed this table in an article either for yourself or your users.
