After the unexpected death of his father, Yoann was ushered onto the throne at the young age of 13 years old - marking the dawn of The Second Age. The Jolundrian Council guided his early rule for twelve years, up until his marriage to Yvette Sims. Yoann's reign lasted 31 years.
Emperor Yoann (20) had a secret tryst with Yvette Sims (18), the daughter of a wealthy aristocrat. She became pregnant and bore the royal bastard, Johan. Due to his illigitimacy he would never become emperor, and the Jolundrian Council had to arrange many private deals to keep the peace on behalf Yoann's inexperience.
Emperor Yoann Falkenrath (25) marries Yvette Sims (23), the daughter of an aristocrat whom he was betrothed to by The Jolundrian Council.
Empress Consort Yvette Sims (30) gives birth to a healthy child, Lucia Falkenrath. She is the legitimate heir to Emperor Yoann Falkenrath (32).
Much to the annoyance of the Jolundrian Council, Archduke Johan Falkenrath (18) has a child outside of wedlock with his childhood sweetheart, Mary Peppers (16).
Against the Jolundrian Council's will, Archduke Johan (19) fathered another child out of wedlock with Mary Peppers (17). They named their child after Johan's grandmother, Amanda.

Following Emperor Newton's (37) death his older brother Theodor (38) was due to rule. Once more he declined emperorship to continue his care and guidance for his niece, Clover (9), and gave the title to her. With her uncle's wisdom, Empress Clover Orris's reign lasted 17 years.
Empress Clover Orris (20) marries Guy Borchard (24) in a grand royal wedding at the end of the year.
Empress Clover Orris (23) dies in childbirth moments after giving birth to two identical twins, Ronan and Ormond.
After their mother Empress Clover (23) died giving birth to them, Ronan and Ormond's father, Guy Borchard (27) took care and raised them on his own.
Following the tragic death of his niece, Emperor Clover (23), discussions were had in the Jolundrian Council about who should be the next heir. It took 3 years of debating and arguing, but by the end of it the council reluctantly agreed that they could not put the newborn twins at the seat of power under guidance of the council. The crown went back up the bloodline to finally rest upon the rightful head of Emperor Theodor Orris (54). His reign lasted for 32 years, making it the longest rule since Empress Leyla Falkenrath 140 years ago.

It is believed that Emperor Ronan Borchard (44) was assassinated for his actions in introducing marriage equality laws across the Jolundrian Empire. Conspiracy theories point fingers in all directions as to who was behind the attack, but all of them firmly point away from the Jolundrian Council...
Following the tragic loss of his twin brother, Emperor Ormond Borchard (44) continued the rule. Stricken with grief he gradually overcame the traumatic experience with the help of his loyal canine companion, Folly the Dog. Emperor Ormond had so much respect for his hound that when the old boy passed away, he decreed that instead of his own royal portrait being struck upon the next coinage, it should be of Folly so that every citizen of the Jolundrian Empire could give him head pats in their pocket. This is the believed origin of the popular phrase "heads or tails?" when flipping a coin, as on the back side of the coin is the image of Folly's wagging tail. Emperor Ormond Borchard (62) dies from the complications of age an related disease.
Following the passing of their father Emperor Ormond (62), Sovereign Ingrid Borchard (28) came to be the current ruler in the Borchard Dynasty. Sovereign Ingrid's coronation was unique in that they are the first openly non-binary ruler of the Jolundrian Empire, and the first sovereign to have grown up using magic. Their reign continues.
