I misread the title and am now disappointed it wasn't "Taint in Tarnation."
Jokes about misremembering titles aside, I liked how the entire conflict is described in a journal or letter entry allowing for others to figure for themselves the details loosely described.
And, as always, I love that your world detects light or dark mode from the browser.

I think I read the previous version of this article (or maybe it was mentioned in another article? So many world, so many stories...). This epistolary version feels very immersive and leaves a lot of questions open, a good setup for an adventure.
