Part One: Gather Information

  • The mission is to retrieve the hoard.
  • Each student is given an allowance of 200g.
  • The Usurper destroyed Ii'rusn a once major metropolis into what it is today.
  • Players are given beacons for teleportation. Must attune and does not work with the amulets.
  • Players sent to Ii'rusn. Use Teleport (and mishaps %) spell since there is no circle located in Ii'rusn anymore

      • Forged For War 20g; In his collection, O'tamu has a tattered, water-damaged explorer’s journal that was brought out of the desert 15 years ago. It describes an artificer's explorations of various places in Ksiban, but not in enough detail to locate them on a map. The unnamed author does, however, make many mentions of his only traveling companion: a shield guardian named Vorn. If the characters befriend O'tamu, he gives them the journal and shows them on Syndra’s map where it was found (he accurately indicates the hex containing the guardian. The journal contains a picture of Vorn’s control amulet but provides no clues to the amulet’s current whereabouts. As a reward for finding and retrieving the construct and its control amulet, O'tamu offers a spellbook containing fifteen randomly determined spells (roll a d6 to determine the level of each spell).
      • Journal of Armand Asante; A journal of a lone wanderer who made a living by surviving off of the arid desert. Reading the journal for a least one hour will grant Advantage on Survival Checks while in the desert for 24 hours.

  • Guards of Ii'rusn hunted and lured out the dragon and had it chase them to Ksibet'a where the battle took place
    • Persuasion (DC 20/15 with Abir). Sandstorms and Ankheg Protect the area within 6 miles of the Lair
  • Conflict arises between the Guards of Ii'rusn and the Guards of Ksib'eta because of who deserves the bounty more upon finding the horde.
    • Elyuja will want to intervene to establish a truce until it is actually found.

Part Two: Journey the Sands

  • Dead Bodies Everywhere.
    • Players will find the burnt corpses of Ksibet'a and Ii'rusn
    • Elyuja will reserve two questions from Talk to Dead in order to ask the corpse for consent and their final request.
    • Elyuja will ask a corpse what to do with their bodies. The bodies will request them to find the other 4 guards and bury them. If they do it, it will add 2-4 days to their travel time. This will have in-game consequences but will win the party (including Elyuja) admiration from Abir. The bodies will all have unique information about the blue dragon (the last will reveal a second dragon's presence).
  • Abir will contact them with a Sending Orb and challenge them to a friendly competition. They will find the horde either shortly before or shortly after depending on how many days it takes the heroes.
    • Find the Bodies - Each roll represents 4 hours of searching.
      • Body One (Consent? ; Final Request:) - Give gold to daughter
      • Body Two (Consent? ) -
      • Body Three (Consent? ; Final Request: A canteen of water.) - Died of dehydration and was badly damaged in combat with the dragon. Swears he saw mirages of a steel man. Given to spider by Tol'ra.
      • Body Four - Found alive. Will die from internal spadooders. Give to spider by Tol'ra.
      • Body Five (Consent? ) - Died from grevious wounds in battle. Body is at the foot of Vorn.
        • Tinker Tools (DC 25/15 with Zagog or Thalgron) - Vorn is corroded and rusted and will require repairs in order to restore to 1 HP.
        • Perception (DC 20) - Buried partially under the stand near Vorn, there is a sack with 5 pouches inside. 3 contain Dust of Corrosion and 2 are empty, presumably used in combat against the automata.
    Hazard Rolls
    • Every day, each creature that requires water will need to drink 1 canteen per day.
    Elyuja's presence allows them to not be at Disadvantage from Survival/Perception/Investigation Checks

Part Three: Close to the Lair

  • Vulka, Dirge, The Fang and his "brother" the Brig, join up with the team riding on a Triple-Tricer wagon (Except the Brig, who had to walk most of the way.)
  • A tribe of kobolds spattered with blue paint worship Tol'ra. Their chief is a Psionic Blue Kobold. Named Ke'en.
    • Moddy is petrified of kobolds due to an incident in her past.
  • They were given Thalgron, Moddy, and Zaggok to do with as they wish. Abir was taken by Tol'ra.

Part Four: Slay the Dragon

  • Slay it.
