Urngut Tamgatai

Urngut is a collection of dialects and languages that is spoken by the Nækan Tribes. Urngut Tamgatai is the largest of these languages and is the official language of the Kingdom of Hakr'Næka.   It's a strange and difficult language to both learn and speak, for anyone coming from the lowlands below. Tamgatai developed almost entirely without influence from the lowland tongues, preserving it in history.   Tamgatai is characterised by many guttural sounds, particularly plosives and a habit to swallow vowels. The most difficult thing to get used to is the voiced alveolar lateral fricative, the "l" sound which is similar to the tlh from Qaj, but without the initial t, and with added voicing. Tamgatai also has the unvoiced version of the voiced alveolar lateral fricative, which is the sound following the initial "t" sound of the Qaj affricate. It sounds a bit like you are lisping over the sides of your tongue.   Tamgatai also features an interesting distinction between a normal plosive consonant and an ejective consonant.
