In the past there was an event known only as 'The Cataclysm'. During this event the barriers between worlds broke and a new reality formed. The things that go bump in the night that existed only in dreams and folklore are now roaming the world. When the veil lifted races and supernaturals of fiction were no longer simply fiction; the world was reshaped. Civilization's that once existed fell apart and new societies have formed. Elves, Dwarfs, Vampires, Werewolves, Mages, Monsters and more now roam the planet.
A century has past since 'The Cataclysm', you are part of this world.
