Mara Jaena's 2022 SummerCamp Pledge Document
Hello everyone and welcome to my Summer Camp Pledge!
This would be my third writing challenge after SummerCamp '21 and World Ember '21 and I am super excited to try to tackle SummerCamp and challenge myself in a new way! After a much needed break from my page, I'm super excited to start writing, organizing, and expanding this world and also bringing new art to the pages, drawn and illustrated by wonderful artists!
In addition to competing against myself and fulfill my goals, I want to engage even more with the World Anvil community and read up on everyone else's worldbuilding and find some more inspiration-- not only for Auriga but for other worlds and projects!
Now, without further ado... I, Mara Jaena, hereby pledge to have fun working on my worldbuilding goals for SummerCamp this July and write my way to the Diamond badge in 2022!

I want to expand not only areas that are already established but history, the significant places, the cultural traditions, and everything in between!

For inspiration this year, I want to draw on the campaign and the world that our players and DM are creating as the game moves along. Our first campaign is nearing its end before our high level campaign, so it's mostly moments and quotations that

DM: You gather from the look on Luscion's face and his lack of requesting your side of the deal that he was looking for a reason for the information to get out. And by the way he seems to recognize you, you understand why.
"There are four of them. Four dragons."
"And eyes in the center of this cloud. A cloud dragon?"
"No, something bigger. Something more powerful."

"I want to show my thanks in revealing a weakness in my experiments. Let's see if I've fixed them by sending them... home."
"They say a mage has reawakened in the blighted city. That's where your men were sent, Captain, and I doubt you'll ever see them again."
DM: You see fractured memories. A dragon falling from the skies, forging mountains into the earth. Dark tendrils chain him to the ground as a figure at his head reaches outstretched with an orb... a reservior of power forms at the dragon's back. Hand wrapping around the orb, snatching it with deft hands, a power unlike any he's possessed before war begins again.
DM: You've dealt with two corruptive gems. You know that one has been lost to another world, corrupting and in use by a power that grows with every passing day. There is a war to be fought and as you teleport away, you don't know if you'll live to return to your ship.
