Lunae Moon

Lunae is the only known natural satellite that exists in the Dark Realm. Unlike the moon on Earth, this moon is the only known source of natural light in the realm. Due to its nature, it served both as a connection to the God of Darkness and the life source of all living beings and flora of this realm.
Named after the God of Darkness's daughter, this moon made a cultural and spiritual impact on the realm's history itself as it created a main belief and religion in Northern and Southern lands of the realm.

History

Originally, the Dark Realm fulfilled its namesake as darkness reigns around the lands. But due to this, the realm was a barren wasteland barred of life as many dark beings and monsters spend their days hunting and fight against each other to survive and to stave off their boredom. However, upon seeing a large amount of violence that plagued the realm, Lunae, the daughter of the God of Darkness, discussed with her father on how to remedy this growing dilemma. At first, she faced several refusals due to his belief that removing the darkness will mean nothing to the realm he made in his image. However, when the Carrion Hydra emerged and almost killed all of the dark residents and invaded the worlds, he gave his permission to leave the realm under the condition that she must temporarily give up her godly form as a price of her attempt to improve its condition. If she failed her mission in 1 month, she will be trapped as a human forever.
During her month-long journey, she saw many realms and worlds between them that not only they were peaceful and brimming with life, but she also saw many civilizations that created a symbiotic relationship to the flora and fauna around them. It was until when she spent the last 7 days in the Light Realm where she saw neither the darkness and shadows around it. Rather, she felt the warmth and relief for the first time from the sun made by the God of Light. With this realization, her path was set.
Once she returned to the Dark Realm on time, Lunae discussed her plans to her father and despite his resistance, the God of Darkness made one more condition before he gave her blessings. That condition was that she must not create the sun or the stars if she wanted to bring light to the world. Despite the limits set on her, it didn't deter the goddess. With everything she learned from her journey, she gathered light that she collected in her hands, and with one whisper and wish, she released a large moon above the Dark Realm. And for the first time, there was light.
As time passed, the forests and oceans grew lively and the dark beings and monsters slowly evolved into what we know as the Shadow Humans and the Umbras. And as civilization grew, the people became enamored by its moonlight and as they learned about the gods who made the realms, they gave the moon its name after the goddess who created it.
