Blonde reavers of the icy north, the mailed warriors of the Aesir are held in check only by their equally ferocious kin the Vanir to the west, the grim Cimmerians southward, and by arcane Hyperborea in the east. Loosely organized, the clans await their forging to a cause, or a great captain of men, to spur them over the ice towards bright and bloody conquest.
The Aesir live among frozen tundra, frozen mountains and icy plains. Nordheim is a bleak and sombre land which for the most part a frozen boreal wasteland bereft of all trappings of civilization. Stocked by all manner of gruesome monsters and beasts this wasteland is neither suitable for farming as few crops grow here for the land is hard as iron and howling winds cut like daggers in the cold.
Thin taiga swamps cover the southern borders but the vast majority of the nation is snow-covered tundra and icy mountainous crags. Here, in the southern reaches the Aesir live as the living conditions are less severe.
