Itsaso Native Tribals -- General

The itsaso tribal people – originally they were all one tribe who existed together in packs who when wandering into each other would exchange resources or fight for those resources. Then when the rim dwellers first came to colonize the planet they decided to divide the planet into sectors which were then closed off by security forces or other barriers to protect the natural resources of each sector from being raided by competing tribes. As the competition for natural resources and contracts with the rim worlders started to increase, the cooperation between tribes started to steeply decline,
However, every summer and winter solstice there is a get together of all the tribes to discuss planetary matters. These meetings are done with all of the clan heads and the clan heirs as they decide the future of the planet and the people along with representatives from the rim dwellers. They have democracy and a government, but to the primitives, a democracy is for learned people who have never fished an ice spider out from under a twin moon. Here on the planet itself there is only blood and the genetics that make it worth having.
Blood ties are strengthened by intermarriage between clans and between families. There is a game of strengths and benefits as women and men are married off with resources and dowry in exchange. If a man is wounded or a woman is barren, they are allowed to return with their full dowry to their former tribe and reclaim their position. If there are children, they are divided as thus: woman stay with the girls and the boy is divided first to man and second to the wife. Women can easily divorce their husband if they are violent as they are given small knives by their menfolk to wound their husband as an act of divorce and men are not allowed to leave at all. They can only leave the tribes completely and wander around as a spiritual mystic or a vagabond. As a man without a bond to a woman is like a person with no wits. This person has nothing inside at all.
