Ash Bread and Its Uses

Ash Bread also known as a Bread from the Deceased’s Feast is a rich nut and dried fruit filled sweet bread with a layer inside of baked human remains. Most of the time these remains are in the form of human ashes as this bread is for ceremonial purposes and not for consumption. The ritual is the priest visits the house if the deceased after the burial or cremation and hands the last bit of flesh or whatever remains to the chosen of the deceased. This person is chosen by the deceased and spoken only to the priest right before the spirit of the dead passes on to the unseen realm. An intention and a promise is also made and the priest may forward these desires to the chosen receiver if the priest decides such a task may be undertaken by the bearer of the bread. The bread is then baked by the bearer of the remains. The bread is then placed on a plate facing upwards and a plate and a chair is pulled up for the deceased for seven months and seven days. Each day a normal portion of food is placed upon there until each month a portion is removed until the seventh month when nothing is there at all. In the last seven days the chair was removed. Everyone eats like normal and chats to the deceased like normal as this is the time when the deceased is said to have their last meal before they move onto the afterlife. If you look under the table and there are cloven hooves that's bad. Never look under the table even if you feel like something is under there. Also every day I say thank you to the meal, even better in native tongue.
The quality that makes Ash Bread feared is that it is said to become consecrated. This means that whoever consumes the Ash Bread gains the memories of the deceased. Often when there are rivalries between families then one faction may mess with the ash bread thinking that they will get some type of benefit by gaining memories or by taking that ability out of the equation so in these cases ash bread is made in the temple and delivered before being consulted or destroyed.
