Week 2 of 2020 Summer Camp in 13 | World Anvil

Week 2 of 2020 Summer Camp

This is a continuation of my effort to keep a list of the articles that I have liked and which have inspired me during Summer Camp 2020. You can find the articles that I liked during week 1 here.   I hope you find the list useful and that you find inspiring articles in here.

Prompt 8: Write about a rank or title that represents order in your world.

Roughly one week after the release of the prompts, these are the numbers of submitted articles for the first eight days (July 1st to 8th):
  • Prompt 1: 271
  • Prompt 2: 250
  • Prompt 3: 184
  • Prompt 4: 244
  • Prompt 5: 199
  • Prompt 6: 222
  • Prompt 7: 169
  • Prompt 8: 209
  •

Prompt 9: Write about a building that has been reused and repurposed from its original design.

Roughly eight days after the release of the prompts, these are the numbers of submitted articles for the first nine days (July 1st to 9th):
    • Prompt 1: 299
    • Prompt 2: 268
    • Prompt 3: 213
  • Prompt 4: 259
  • Prompt 5: 229
  • Prompt 6: 249
    • Prompt 7: 193
    • Prompt 8: 236
    • Prompt 9: 215

Prompt 10: Describe a commonly found document in your world - what's in it and what is it for?

Prompt 11 :Describe a common item that is used as a secret symbol in your world.

Prompt 12: Describe a vehicle in your world that brings joy wherever it arrives.

I find this prompt far too specific and restrictive. I have had an initial look at the submissions and there is a lot of similarities in the submitted prompts (understandable given the prompt). However, after reading and skimming several articles, I am not keen on reading 50+ articles on such a narrow topic. I may go back to this prompt later on.

Prompt 13: Describe how birthdays are celebrated in a particular culture of your world.

Prompt 14: Write about a secret code or cypher in your world: who uses it, and for what purpose?
