Midnight's Journal: After Valhalla's Calling

"A world conquered by giant whales with some kind of rainbow magic... a world I was quite fond of. The fight with Aspara and Gus was one sided, sure, but I was looking forward to maybe returning to the arena there. Doing more drinking and singing. Now though? Things will have to change for its people as we have evacuated them to Liminal. A people driven from their home, likely to never see it again. My greatest sympathies to them."
 
"What in the nine hells was up with Tsoki though? At the end he reacted strangely and used one of our more powerful magic items. I suppose I'll save that for the moment."
 
"To start with, Pim, B+, Ento, Vatna and Lore were called by Aspara and Gus to assist them in protecting that world full of rabbits that reminded me of my home. It was disappointing I couldn't join them directly but they were going to need heavier firepower, so we needed to make our own way back with the airship while they used the underground doorway. It probably would have been a simpler task had I not been black out drunk after our first trip there. I have a pretty good sense of direction after all. Unfortunately my entire memory of going there is largely foggy. So we had to wing it a bit. And by wing it I mean that Nicholas ripped a hole in one of the hallways. I'm going to have to finish up production versions of my buoys sooner rather than later so I can mark things like that for later repairs. Not comfortable with the risks doing something like that causes."
 
"Anyways... method aside, we did manage to make it to the proper world just fine. Unfortunately there was some rainbow shield around it along with an armada of ridiculously massive ships. Tsoki managed to shoot one down while I shielded the ship and Nicholas evaded fire but eventually we were forced through the rainbow barrier. Made it through with only a bit of damage, but it wasn't over yet. There was already a ship within the barrier. One that the away team had infiltrated. Apparently we had good timing as they needed a withdrawal. The beings we were fighting were too massive and powerful for them to deal with. We made a quick stop on a nearby island that I don't have all the details of what occurred on, but soon after we moved to the village to begin evacuation, evading fire from the whale creatures. That's when it happened..."
 
"Tsoki suddenly had runes glowing blue all over him. Not long after he looked like he saw a ghost and rushed to honk the magic clown horn. The one we got from the World Fair that temporary turns an entire world into essentially clowns for a short period. It was a bit of a strange experience but we got everyone out safely before using the island we stopped at to return home. When I asked Tsoki about it he simply told me that I didn't want to know. If I had to guess he had one of his seer visions. First time I'd have seen it first hand, but if I'm right, I'm guessing he saw us all die? Either way, I plan on covering his drinks for a while. Hopefully eventually he'll tell us what he saw exactly so we can prepare for whatever it was next time we run into those whales."
