Screw my life, Stillpeaks Edition

by Hruodtland

So I arrived at Stillpeaks today, and I couldn't have chosen a worse time it seems. In two days the town will be attacked by zombies, according to a rag-tag band of adventurers. They kind of recruited me to the defensive effort. I have a very bad feeling about this.

That one guy, I think his name was Kraf, is absolutely nuts and obsessed with his pet skull. He even gave it a name: Miss Bonehead. He makes it talk, then claims skulls can't talk! How can someone obsessed with the dead be trusted to fight undead?! Hopefully he isn't the one behind the whole attack. I wonder how they know when exactly the attack will happen...

It's too bad I don't know the area at all. There's no way I can make it to safety in time from what I can tell. I guess trying to fight the zombies is actually my best bet at survival. They also recruited a barbarian - obsessed with battle and glory. Now that's a kind of obsession I can deal with! The orc in the party, Nadar, seems to be pretty decent though. He actually has a brain and uses it, and thankfully the rest follows him. There's a very pretty elf (she has plants growing in her hair!) who also seems to be decent. Her name is span. She treats this Kraf guy like a child - or a nurse taking care of a madman. Maybe that's the easy solution why he is obsessed with his skull. I asked if het got hit on the head at some point, but no one answered.

Still, the skull gives me the creeps. The barbarian made a good point: burn the undead, to prevent them from raising again. That other guy with the posh hat and a rapier (I think I caught his name as Karl) thinks, even if a skull comes back he couldn't cause much damage. That idiot! Skulls can still use magic, they still have a mouth! Skullboy had the nerve to lecture me that skulls can't talk. Then what does yours do?!

I have a bad feeling about this all.
