Mental Trauma
Born into the The War of Anawyfn he grew up between battlefields, being tossed back and forth between the two worlds.
And when he finally had started to settle down, he had been captured by Wermund Eena Zon Cynewald Een On Markil who believed that the horns of a Ryran Silen would grant immortality. This is why his right horn is broken off and how the nipple ring came to be.
Ryre Bran still has occasional nightmares about some of those events.
