Connors gang was scattered, and Connor always pays his dues. He snuck into the temple barracks to kill a paladin for every member of his gang that was hung, but was caught by Caul, one of the temple guardians. Rather than turn him in, Caul hid Connors presence from the wandering guards, and offered him a place in the temple as a trainee, explaining that the sea cares not for who you are or what you've done, only if you are strong enough to survive; and Connor was strong. Connor grew then from a teen into a man as a temple warrior, fighting for his god and his faith. Ibral attacked a border town and burnt the temple there, and Connor was sent to the border with a group of temple warriors to aid in reconstruction and security. unfortunately it was not enough, and the members of the squad were captured by raiding Ibralese soldiers.
