He is the one who recruited the party into the Harpers. He caught Dell trying to pickpocket him and made him an agent instead of turning him in. He loves food and drink, but don't let this bowl full of jelly fool you. He's hip to the adventuring life.
 
Maximillion knows that there was once an Open Lord named Mirt about 100 years ago, but has no evidence to support that this is the same Mirt other than that Mirt has namedroppped both the current Open Lord (Lady Laeral Silverhand) and the Blackstaff (Lady Vajra Safar).
