Appearance
Physical Description
Juniper is small and lightweight, but surprisingly sturdy, being made from vines infused with magic. Her overall looks shifts somewhat between the seasons, but the spirit of her overall self stays the same.
Body Features
Her arms and legs are flexible vines. The leaves around her fashion a sort of dress, complete with small pink flowers that bloom during the spring, white during the summer, and red during the autumn, matching the longer petals that sprout from her head, giving the look of hair. In the winter, the flowers turn to small red berries with her hair-petals taking on a deep red. The leaves that fashion her "dress" extend to two large leaves, giving the look of a cape, or folded down wings. She has matching berries on each pointed ear, giving the look of small earrings. She wears the peel of a large fruit, cured and preserved as a sort of makeshift helm, taking care to tuck the petals on her head into it, and wears a suit of armor when on her patrols crafted from the leaves of a Darkwood Tree, always carrying her matching Darkwood Spear and longbow.
Facial Features
Her face is fairly void of discernible emotions, letting her body movements provide a sense of emotion in it's place. Her eyes are small and beady, as well as fully black, making it hard to tell immediately where she might be looking, were it not for her tendency to fully turn to face everything she has her attention on. Her ears are long and pointed, though she typically has them underneath of her helm, except when not on Knight duty.

Physical quirks
Juniper has a very proud walk, seeming to march everywhere she goes, swinging her arms at her sides with her head held high, constantly surveying for interesting things in her surroundings.
Special abilities
Though not used often, and typically more for pranks than anything, Juniper has the magical ability to change her form into that of a small healthy vine, allowing her to blend easily into the forests.
Mentality
Personal history
Juniper was created by a travelling Druid, his name unknown to all but the oldest of the trees, who would never give their keeper's name freely. Most of her early life was lived in the solitude of the forest, hiding from predators and taking care of the lush plant life, never finding much need to travel elsewhere. As the many seasons passed, she taught herself how to use the bow the Druid had left behind for her, crafted from dried vines befitting her small stature. She was happy in the forest, playing tricks on poachers who would venture into her domain, making sure to at least mostly keep from sight, never taking the lives of any. She remained unknown, until a travelling merchant wandered under her home, knocking her from her leaf hammock with the tip of his staff. They were equally as afraid of the other as they stared eachother down, until Juniper's curiosity got the better of her. She examined the man, poking and prodding at him and his wares, noticing that the man carried no weapons, save for the tall staff. She introduced herself, unaccustomed to the close presence of a person who was not hunting her animal "friends" or trying to eat her, instantly becoming friendly to the man, regaling him with a number of drawn out stories about various daily life in the forest. He listened to her with a smile, waiting for her to finish, before introducing himself as Falael Folmar. He was a gentle Elven man, a wandering refugee of the fallen Elven city of Dreten. His age showed in his face, old even as far as Elves are concerned. After they spoke for some time and had become fast friends, Juniper offered the man an assortment of fruits and nuts from the forest, including a small bag of acorns, a currency of Juniper's own invention. She had spent several years trying to teach the animals of the forest how they might be able to use them, but they were largely eaten instead, to Juniper's dismay. The man laughed, thanking her with a low bow, promising to make a return trip as often as he was able, which he did several times a year. On one of his trips, he brought her a gift. It was a breastplate crafted from Darkwood Leaves with a matching Darkwood Longspear, both engraved with the symbolic mask of the Green Faith, and both perfectly suited to her size and shape. He jokingly named her as the "Knight of Honeysuckle Downs", which she took to heart. She pledged her word to the Elf, promising to protect everything in her domain from outsiders, practicing every day with her new spear, "sparring" with the various and usually unwilling animal partners. Her skills grew, though unknown to any but her, and she remains to the day doing her best to protect everything from outsiders, who seem to be travelling less and less through the forest for some reason... She has heard from a few that there seems to be a war of some sort going on however, piquing her natural curiosity. Certain that the forest is doing well enough, she sets off to a strange hole in the ground where strange noises and unfamiliar voices are coming from. Surely the war wasn't happening underground? Though, all the better truly if it were...
Education
She has read some books that she's found, but she does not have what one might consider an education.

The first to ever become a Knight of Honeysuckle Downs, which she will tell everyone she meets.
Failures & Embarrassments
Juniper doesn't feel as though she's failed at much, besides properly training the animals of the forest to be her friends and allies. She doesn't have a solid concept of how person to person relationships go, or any concept of manners. She understand the concept of money, having taken a few thousand or so gold coins from unsuspecting travelers and poachers, but prefers her own concept instead, since it grows on trees and everyone could have some by just looking. As of now, only her and the Elf "use" her currency.
Mental Trauma
Juniper has a deep understanding of emotions, feeling them all as much as any other. Having spent almost 100 years in the forest however has made her very lonely, spiking her own curiosity in it's wake. She's seen generations of her animal friends from birth until their deaths, and wonders at times whether her own lifespan is limited as well.
Intellectual Characteristics
Juniper has a knack for understanding people, whether or not they like her, and she has a keen sense of the motives of those around her as well, after watching countless people travel through her domain. Her senses are keen, seeing most that moves through the trees, providing her curiosity doesn't have her distracted. As far as intelligence goes however, she does not have an education, never having left the forest.

She has a deep love for nature, seeing as it provides everything anyone could ever need, and as such is willing to do anything it takes to protect everything in her domain or otherwise. If the natural order of things is disturbed, everyone will suffer.

Motivation
Juniper is motivated by her unwavering love of all natural things, be it her forest, animals, or even those who travel through it, providing they aren't intending to harm anything. Upon hearing about the war going on in the world, she worries that she might have to leave her forest, if it would mean travelling elsewhere to seek out those that might cause harm in the world.

Juniper carries her small bag of engraved forest nuts with her everywhere, but she does have quite an amount of "coins" as well. She sees the coins as fun, and likes the way they sound, but she's never used them for anything yet. They are shiny and nice to look at though...
